WATCH: Hilarious Mossel Bay shark photobomb makes waves around the world

Cape Town – Well, if there’s one thing we can say for certain about South Africa’s shark population: they’re definitely not camera-shy!

I mean last week, we shared some heart-pounding footage of a great white attacking a cage during a shark dive in Mossel Bay, earlier this week Marine Dynamics in Gansbaai sent us some incredible footage of a shark hunting down a seal just metres away from their Whale Whisperer vessel.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, one great white goes and photobombs another one!

Also filmed in Mossel Bay, the video taken and shared by YouTube user, Remo Sabatini, starts with rather chilling footage of one of theses massive predators chowing on a rope dangling from the side of the boat. It’s all teeth and gills and beady little eyes.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, another shark breaches spectacularly in the background, stealing its hungry mate’s toothy show.

The video has been picked up by news sites all over the world and already has managed to tally up more than 500 000 views in only 4 days.

This is, however, not the first time a shark photobomb went viral. In December last year, an amateur photographer managed to capture a shark breaching just beyond the breakers during a surfing competition held in Coffs Harbour, Australia.
